Do I need a referral?

 

Those seeking a Medicare rebate require a referral and a "Mental Health Care Plan" from their GP (unless they are referred by a psychiatrist or paediatrician). Also those referred under Workers Compensation Claims or CTP Claims may require a referral from their GP or rehabilitation provider. For other clients a referral is unnecessary. However if your GP has written a referral letter it would be helpful top bring it to the initial consultation as this may provide information which will assist your Clinical Psychologist.
